Is there a free CELPIP General practice test?

Yes. The full CELPIP General mock here is free and needs no account: Listening (6 parts), Reading (4 parts), Writing (2 tasks) and Speaking (8 tasks) in the real order, with each section timed. You can also practise any single skill — Listening, Reading, Writing or Speaking — on its own.

How long is the CELPIP General test?

CELPIP currently describes the complete CELPIP-General test as taking under 2 hours and 50 minutes, all in one sitting. Its published section times are 46–55 minutes for Listening, 43–56 for Reading, 53 for Writing and 15 for Speaking.

Does this practice test give a CELPIP level?

Not an official one. Listening and Reading show how many questions you answered correctly rather than a CELPIP level. Writing gets an instant in-browser practice estimate, plus an optional AI-assisted analysis that suggests an unofficial practice level. Speaking is recorded for your own review, because real CELPIP Speaking is scored by human raters. The CELPIP score decoder explains what each level means.

Is CELPIP General the right version for Canada PR?

Yes. IRCC’s Express Entry page says you must take the CELPIP-General test. CELPIP-General LS tests only listening and speaking and is accepted for citizenship, not for economic PR — so check that your booking says CELPIP-General.
