Arrange the sentences into a logical order.

Put the sentences in the correct order:

  1. Because of this, a blue feather crushed into powder loses its colour entirely, revealing the illusion behind it.
  2. Tiny microscopic structures on their surfaces scatter light so that only blue wavelengths reach our eyes.
  3. Instead, most creatures that appear blue, such as butterflies and many birds, are using a clever trick of physics rather than pigment at all.
  4. The reason is that very few living things can produce a true blue pigment from the chemicals available to them.
