True / False / Not Given

IELTS · True / False / Not Given

Decide whether the statement is True, False, or Not Given.

Octopuses are among the most intelligent invertebrates known to science. They can solve puzzles, open jars, and remember which human keepers have treated them well. Much of their nervous system lies not in a central brain but in their arms, allowing each arm to explore and react with a degree of independence. Octopuses can also change the colour and texture of their skin almost instantly to blend into rocks or coral. Yet their lives are strikingly short; most species live only one to two years, and females usually die soon after their eggs hatch, having stopped eating to guard them.

According to the passage, choose TRUE, FALSE, or NOT GIVEN: Female octopuses typically continue feeding normally while guarding their eggs.
