Most of the world's coffee comes from two main plant types, but they are not equal. Arabica plants grow best in cool, high mountains and produce a smooth, mild flavor that many drinkers prefer. Robusta plants grow more easily in hot lowlands, resist disease better, and contain more caffeine, but their taste is stronger and more bitter.
